DHN Webinar Success

The recent DNH webinar on Poverty and the 2012 Election was quite a success! Rev. Michael Livingston, former President of the National Council of Churches USA, offered a moving reflection and prayer, which can be read in full here.

Leslie Woods, Representative for Domestic Poverty and Environmental Issues, PC(USA), Amelia Kegan, Senior Policy Analyst at Bread for the World, Shantha Ready Alonso, Interim Coordinator of the Poverty Initiative of the National Council of Churches, and Melissa Boteach, Poverty and Prosperity Program Director at Half in Ten led the webinar. It covered topics such as the fiscal cliff, the value of presidential candidates talking about poverty, the legislative landscape of a "lame-duck" congressional session, as well as important action steps that you can take to make a difference in the conversation around poverty. The powerpoint slides from the webinar can be accessed here. Stay informed!
